Little Botanic Label cares deeply about your privacy. Therefore, I only process data that I need for my services or to improve them. I handle the information I collect about you and your use of my services with care. I never share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the Little Botanic label website and the services it provides. It describes what information I collect about you, what I use it for, and with whom and under what conditions I may share it with third parties. I also explain how I store your data, how I protect it from misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to me.

Personal data that I process

Little Botanic Label processes your personal data because you use my services and/or because you provide this data to me yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data I process:

  • First and last name;
  • Address details;
  • Phone number;
  • Email address;
  • IP address;
  • Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by creating a profile on this website, via correspondence and via telephone contact;
  • Location data;
  • Data about your activities on my website;
  • Data about your surfing behavior across different websites; (for example, because this company is part of an advertising network)
  • Internet browser and device type.

Special and/or sensitive personal data that I process
My website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16 unless they have permission from their parents or guardian. However, I cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. I therefore encourage parents to be involved in their children's online activities to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent.

For what purpose and on what basis do I process personal data?
Little Botanic label processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Processing your order;
  • Processing your payment;
  • Sending my newsletter;
  • To be able to call or email you if this is necessary regarding your order;
  • To offer you the option to create an account to make placing an order easier;
  • I analyze your behavior on the website to improve the website and tailor the range of products and services to your preferences;
  • I also process personal data if I am legally obliged to do so, such as data that I need for my tax return.

Web store software

The online store was developed using Shopify software. You can read their privacy policy here .

Email and mailing lists

I send my email newsletters with Klavio. Klavio will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every automated newsletter, you'll see an unsubscribe link. If you click this, you will no longer receive my newsletter. Your personal data is stored securely by Klavio. Klavio uses cookies and other internet technologies that track whether emails are opened and read. Klavio reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share information with third parties for this purpose. You can find Klavio's privacy policy here .

Shipping and logistics

If you place an order with me, it is my responsibility to have your package delivered to you. I use the services of  post nl .

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of the processing

I use your data solely for the purposes of providing my services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the order you place. I do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with me and I use it to contact you at a later date—other than at your request—I will explicitly ask for your permission. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound by confidentiality under the agreement between them and me, an oath, or a legal obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data automatically collected by my website is processed for the purpose of further improving my services. This data (e.g., your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations

In certain cases, Little Botanic label may be legally obligated to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by government authorities. In such a case, I am forced to share your data, but I will object to this within the limits of the law.

Retention periods

I retain your data for as long as you are a customer. This means I will keep your customer account until you indicate that you no longer wish to use my services. If you indicate this to me, I will also consider it as a request to be forgotten. I will not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. I apply the following retention periods for the following categories of personal data:

Your rights

Under applicable Dutch and European law, you, as a data subject, have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of me. Below, I explain these rights and how you can exercise them.

To prevent misuse, I will only send copies of your data to the email address I already have on file. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by mail, I will ask you to identify yourself. I maintain records of processed requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, I will record anonymized data. You will receive all copies of your data in the machine-readable format I use within my systems.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at any time if you suspect that I am using your personal data incorrectly.

Right of inspection

You always have the right to access the data I process (or have processed) that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to this effect to my contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, I will send you a copy of all data to the email address I have on file for you, along with an overview of the processors who hold this data, stating the category under which I have stored this data.

Right of rectification

You always have the right to have the data I process (or have processed) that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you, corrected. You can submit a request to this effect to my contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, I will send you a confirmation that the data has been corrected to the email address I have on file.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the data I process (or have processed) that relates to you personally or is identifiable to you. You can submit a request to this effect to my contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, I will send you a confirmation to the email address I have on file that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to portability

You always have the right to have the data I process (or have processed) that relates to you personally or is identifiable to you, processed by another party. You can submit a request to this effect to my contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, I will send you copies of all data about you that I have processed or that has been processed on my behalf by other processors or third parties, to the email address I have on file. In all likelihood, in such a case, I will no longer be able to continue providing services, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Hip by (b)engel in certain circumstances. If you object, I will immediately cease processing the data pending the resolution of your objection. If your objection is justified, I will provide you with copies of the data that I process (or have processed) and then permanently cease processing.

You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. I do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe this is the case, please contact my contact person for privacy matters.

Little Botanic label has taken the following measures to protect your personal data:

All activity on the website takes place over a secure (SSL) connection. You can see this by the "https" and padlock icon in the address bar. I also ensure my online store software is always up to date, and my security software monitors all website activity. This security software immediately alerts you if something is amiss and takes action accordingly. I also use a virus scanner and firewall. My computer system is password-protected, and the programs I use are also secured with two-step verification.

Data breach

As of January 1, 2016, we, as online businesses, are obligated to report certain data breaches to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. A data breach is a security incident involving unintentional access to, destruction, modification, or release of personal data. A data breach must involve the loss of personal data or the possibility of unlawful processing of personal data. In the event of such a data breach, I will also notify my clients by email.
